It is independent of New Hampshire Bird Records (NHBR) and New Hampshire Audubon. Per the <a href=\"https:\/\/nhbirdrecords.org\/NHRBC\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/NHRBC-Bylaws-2020.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NHRBC Bylaws<\/a>, the purposes of the Committee includes the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n\t<li style=\"padding-bottom: 10px;\">To review reports of unusual occurrences of birds within the state of New Hampshire and adjacent ocean waters.<\/li>\n\t<li style=\"padding-bottom: 10px;\">To accept or reject such reports based upon the adequacy of documentation.<\/li>\n\t<li style=\"padding-bottom: 10px;\">To establish and maintain an <a href=\"https:\/\/nhbirdrecords.org\/NHRBC\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/NH-state-review-list-combined-Feb-2023.pdf\" target=\"blank\">official state list of the birds of New Hampshire<\/a>.<\/li>\n\t<li style=\"padding-bottom: 10px;\">To establish and maintain a list of species of sufficient rarity requiring review by the Committee (\u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/nhbirdrecords.org\/all-articles\/NH%20state%20+%20review%20list%20combined%20FINAL%202021.pdf\" target=\"blank\">Review Species<\/a>\u201d).<\/li>\n\t<li style=\"padding-bottom: 10px;\">To permanently maintain copies of evaluated records and their associated documentation and all Committee votes, comments, and pertinent outside expert information regarding those records.<\/li>\n\t<li style=\"padding-bottom: 10px;\">To respond to a request from the observer of the result of the evaluation of his\/her records and to educate the birding community in general of the results of those deliberations.<\/li>\n\t<li style=\"padding-bottom: 10px;\">To work closely with the editors and staff of NHBR toward our common goals.<\/li>\n\t<li style=\"padding-bottom: 10px;\">To function as an independent technical advisory committee to New Hampshire Bird Records.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section data-particle_enable=\"false\"
